The groups set to benefit from cash grants thanks to our Community Chest campaign can be revealed today.
Our exciting Community Chest campaign has awarded cash grants to hundreds of groups across the region – and now we are helping another 81.
The 81 lucky non-profit organisations will be sharing £20,213.
The applicants all snipped and saved 500 tokens during March to qualify and are now reaping the rewards.
Yet again the dragons – our judges – were overwhelmed with the level of applications. So they decided to increase this month's prize pot in a bid to give cash grants to as many groups as possible.
Cheques ranging between £100 and £500 have been sent to the benefiting groups.
The money will be used in a range of ways to transform the region.
Unsuccessful applicants are also welcome to apply again next month.
