Post Office Ltd announced last month that the service, which will run from Call In in Hale Road and replaces the full time post office that closed in February, would start on September 8.
However due to a series of errors the date for the opening has now been put back by a week.
From September 15 the post office will open every Tuesday and Thursday between 10am and midday.
