Norfolk Day is 50 days away and the excitement is building

There are just 50 days to go before Norfolk Day 2019, and as the excitement mounts we want to hear how you plan to mark the day which is all about celebrating what a wonderful place Norfolk is.
Last year, thousands of people from across the county celebrated Norfolk Day by throwing parties, hosting get togethers, heading out into the countryside and most importantly, taking the time to enjoy what a fantastic place Norfolk is in which to live and work.
Now, with less than 50 days to go until Norfolk Day 2019 -Saturday, July 27- the same people, groups and organisations plus more are being encouraged to get involved again .
In Norwich, the streets will be adorned with rainbow flags as the city celebrates Pride.
In south Norfolk people will be treated to daring aerial displays from the Wildcats Aerobatics team who will take to the skies for the Old Buckenham Airshow.

And across the county music fans will be spoilt for choice as several events promising an eclectic mix of live music will take place including Southburgh World Music Festival with has been renamed the Norfolk World Music Festival in honour of the day.
But it's not just large scale events which are taking place, across Norfolk dozens of coffee mornings are planned, a special Norfolk Day beer has been brewed, photographers are being encouraged to capture Norfolk beyond the cliches and school children are being asked to design a Norfolk superhero.
Charlie Hodson, Norfolk Day ambassador who will be marking Norfolk Day 2019 by setting off on a tour of the county said; "By supporting Norfolk Day 2019 you're helping to boost Norfolk's tourism and hospitality sector.
"Together we can help bring people out of isolation, it might be the one day of the year people meet up for a cup of tea or slice of cake and best of all, Norfolk Day shows the rest of the UK how amazing our county is" he said.
