NINETY-ONE new homes could be built in the north of Watton.
Hopkins Homes has submitted a full planning application to Breckland Council for a new housing development on land west of Saham Road which is currently grassed garden and meadow land.
The 91 homes planned for the 3.27 hectare site would be a mix of open market homes and affordable housing.
Of the 55 open market homes, there would be 10 two-bedroom houses and 28 three-bedroom houses, while 17 of the houses would have four or more bedrooms.
Thirty-six of the homes would be affordable housing. This would include eight one-bedroom flats, 15 two-bedroom houses, nine three bedroom houses, and four houses with four or more bedrooms.
The plans also include 199 parking spaces and 91 cycle spaces.

There would also be an area of public open space that would be nearly 6,000 square metres. The design and access statement said this open space would act as a visual and social centre to the new housing development and the surrounding area, and that it would create 'a new heart for this part of the town.'
A new access road to the site from Saham Road is also part of the plans.
