ASPIRING writers and people wanting to learn about computers can take part in two new courses starting in Watton.

The Acorn Training Centre at Wayland House is to hold a basic IT for beginners course on Mondays from 1.30pm until 3.30pm for 6 weeks starting on April 12. The course will cover keyboard and mouse skills, creating and saving files and documents, email, the internet, and Microsoft Word and Excel.

The second new course is in creative writing, and this will take place on Fridays from 10.30am until 12.30pm starting on May 16.

Topics that will be covered in the six-week course include writing short stories, personal writing, poetry and writing for children.

Each course costs �5 per session (�30 for the whole course) with �10 for the first two sessions payable in advance.
