A 91-year-old man had to be taken to hospital with serious neck injuries after his 4x4 vehicle went off a road and landed in a ditch.

He was driving the silver Mercedes vehicle on Lower Road, Holme Hale, near Swaffham, at about 4.25pm on Sunday.

Two fire crews were called to free the man and he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital at King's Lynn where his condition is described as 'stable'.
