CHAMPION of all that's good about Norfolk, Keith Skipper, will be at Swaffham Museum on Saturday to open a new Collecting and Collectors' exhibition.

Mr Skipper, a well-known writer and broadcaster and enthusiast for the Norfolk dialect, will be presenting the museum with a copy of his Bumper Book of Norfolk Squit as his contribution to the collection.

Mr Skipper, who has been included in the Eastern Daily Press's Virtual Reality Museum of Norfolk, knows Swaffham very well because he was a pupil of the old Hamond's Grammar school between 1955 and 1962. He is a former EDP journalist.

There will be a varied assortment of collections on display, ranging from Margaret Fountaine's collection of exotic butterflies, baked bean labels from all over the world and Jack Mitchell's remarkable esoteric collection of weird and wonderful things.

The museum, on London Street, is open from Tuesday to Saturday between 10am until 4pm.
