A man who pleaded guilty to possessing heroin with a £5,600 street value has breached a criminal behaviour order seven days after it was imposed.
John Watson, 31, was fined £400 for breaching the three year order he was given last month.
Watson, of no fixed abode, was given the restriction on Wednesday, January 30, after being convicted of drug possession as part of a policing operation targeting rural crime.
The order had a number of conditions including not to enter The Splashes site on Castle Acre Road, Swaffham, as either a visitor or a tenant.
Watson was arrested in the morning of Wednesday, February 6, after being found by officers, with assistance from the drone unit, who were attending the site in relation to a separate matter.
He was charged later that day with breaching the CBO and remanded in police custody overnight.
He appeared at Norwich Magistrates Court yesterday (Thursday, February 7) where he was fined.
Inspector Jon Papworth said: 'These orders give us the opportunity to support offenders while preventing further offences being committed. It also acts as a way for us to provide reassurance to the public that we will deal with persistent law breakers.
'It is disappointing that Watson has breached the order within a week of it being imposed.
'Again, I hope the action taken shows the public will take positive action.'
The CBO was imposed by Norwich Magistrates Court, following Watson's conviction on Thursday, December 13, 2018, for possessing 2oz of the Class A substance.
He was sentenced to two weeks in prison at King's Lynn Magistrates Court, after pleading guilty.
The CBO's conditions included:
• Not to enter The Splashes site on Castle Acre Road, Swaffham as either a visitor or a tenant;
• Not to enter the Breckland policing area defined by the attached map;
• Not to enter or be found inside or within 10 metres of any farm building or farm outbuilding nor to enter or be found inside any other non-dwelling outbuilding except that owned by Mr John Watson or with the express prior written permission of the owner and to produce such written permission upon demand of a police officer.
