SWAFFHAM town council is advertising two posts - a project and administration support officer and a trainee town gardener and handyman.

The support officer's role follows the launch of the Town Plan 'Advance Swaffham' and the person appointed to the new post will help identify and access funds to finance the Town Plan projects.

According to the job description, applicants should be flexible and self-motivated and able to work independently to strict deadlines. The successful candidate should also be aware of research and consultation methods. The person appointed also needs to be capable of report writing, minute writing, data collection and analysis.

The second vacancy is for a trainee gardener and general handyman and the successful candidate would need to be capable of high standards of gardening and ground maintenance skills.

The person appointed would also have the ability to turn their hand to a variety of odd jobs in and around the public areas of Swaffham. These areas include public toilets, play areas and monitoring of car parks.

Closing dates for applications for both posts is March 8 with interviews held during the week beginning March 15.
