Pupils from a Breckland primary school have received some help to encourage them to walk to school and to do so safely.

Youngsters at St Peter and St Paul Carbrooke Academy, near Watton, took part in International Walk to School Month throughout October.

Their campaign was supported by housing developer Barratt Homes Eastern Counties who donated 150 high-visibility bag tags for pupils to wear on their way to and from school.

The pupils will also be able to wear them throughout the rest of the year.

Headteacher Hannah Wheeler said: 'Having reflectors means the children can be seen more easily and hopefully stay safe on their walk to and from school.

'The children are proud to wear these high visibility tags and understand the need to stay safe while on their way to and from school.'

She said to encourage pupils to travel by bicycle the school will be offering cycling proficiency training.
