People in the Swaffham area are being offered the chance to say which priorities local police should have, at a public meeting on Tuesday.

The Safer Neighbourhood Action Panel (SNAP) has previously highlighted reducing shop crime and developing the ShopWatch initiative, tackling anti-social behaviour and misuse of motor vehicles in Theatre Street car park and tackling anti-social behaviour and drug misuse in the Northwell Pool Road area.

The meeting is at 7.30pm at the Assembly Rooms, Market Place.

Meanwhile, Swaffham residents will have the chance to patrol with police community support officer Hazel Tampin for a morning, point out any hotspot areas where they feel unsafe and ask any questions about issues that affect their quality of life.

The walk-and-talk event will start at the London Street Stores, London Street, at 10am on Thursday, April 30. The stores also acts as a police information point where local people can report incidents, hand in lost property and find out how Swaffham Safer Neighbourhood Team is tackling crime in the community.

PCSO Tampin said: "It would be great to see as many people as possible attend the walk-and-talk event which will give local people the opportunity to voice their opinions and concerns.

"I hope that the event also emphasises that the London Street Stores is a police information point, where members of the public can express issues they have in their community relating to crime and anti-social behaviour."
