Have a mardle at Swaffham Museum on Saturday.

PUBLISHED: 14:35 10 August 2011

Swaffham Museum will hold its monthly mardle on Saturday as part of an ongoing oral history project.

Anyone with stories about the town is invited to share their memories, look through the archives and enjoy a free tea or coffee between 10am and noon.

Residents are also asked to look through their albums and scrap books for any interesting photographs or memorabilia they could bring in.

The museum, in London Street, is creating a sound archive as part of Swaffham: Within Living Memory, a £50,000 Lottery-funded heritage project recording stories of the town’s people, buildings and events from 1930 to 2010.
