FOODS from around the world and around the corner tantalised the taste buds on Sunday when a Gastronomic Food Festival was staged in Swaffham.
The Swaffham Community Centre was a hive of activity as stalls offered hundreds of visitors some tempting dishes and foods from a variety of countries, including Canada, Russia, Poland, Portugal and , of course, England.
It was part of Swaffham Food Week, which in turn was being held as part of the wider Norfolk Food Festival Fortnight which continues until this weekend.
It was organised by the award-winning Iceni Lifelong Learning Partnership and manager Dennis Tallon said that the event had been a great success and enjoyed in lovely warm weather. 'There was something to suit all tastes including pork, chicken and beef cooked by the Army chefs in the field kitchen they set up outside the Community Centre' he said.
