Poor weather conditions prevented Swaffham residents from holding their annual pancake race in the market place but they still managed to make the most of the day.
Eight teams of two took part in the third annual pancake race on February 13, which was held in the Assembly Rooms building.
The competitive races saw a brother and sister team coming out victorious in the final race and the winners were awarded an engraved frying pan trophy, presented by Lion president Pam Tallon.
Before the main races got underway there was also a special competition for the under-fives.
The event took place shortly after the Lions held a special weekend Valentine Dance, which saw Swaffham residents taking to the dance floor to music from the 1960’s, performed by Norfolk band, the Strollers.
The next big date in the calendar for the Lions will be their Easter celebration, which will raise money for a number of charitable causes.
