Fourteen community projects in Swaffham have received a welcome financial boost thanks to Breckland Partnership's Participatory Budgeting Programme.

Each of Breckland's five towns had been allocated 5,000 from the programme to share among their community using participatory budgeting.

Swaffham's aim was to help as many community projects as possible and so asked for applications for up to 500 of funding.

Thirty four projects applied and 26 of these were shortlisted and asked to take part at a showcasing event on March 25.
