A COUNCILLOR representing three councils in mid Norfolk has added to his list of responsibilities by becoming the newest member of Watton Town Council.

John Rogers, chairman of Breckland Council, has filled the vacancy left by Christopher Walls who resigned after failing to attend a meeting for six months.

The position adds to Mr Rogers's current roles as a Breckland councillor, a Carbrooke parish councillor, and a Watton ward member on Norfolk County Council.

He said: “I am politically involved in the area and I hope that I can be of help to Watton town and its residents.”

Mr Rogers was a member of the police force for over 25 years before becoming a councillor.

He has represented Templar ward in the Watton area on Breckland for nearly 20 years.
