BUY your apples and pears, stock up on your fresh fish … and see your local policeman.
That's what visitors to Watton market can do on Saturday as officers from the local Safer Neighbourhood Team man a stall in the High Street from 9am-noon to offer crime prevention advice, security mark valuables and listen to people's concerns. People will also be able to buy a number of security products.
Sgt Lance Ogbourne, based at Watton, said: 'We are encouraging local people to have an informal chat with their local officers and the Wayland Partnership, whilst they buy their local produce from the town's popular market.'
Jan Godfrey from the Wayland Partnership said: 'We greatly enjoyed having the SNT with us at the Christmas market when as well as meeting the visitors to the market they helped us to hand our free mince pies and we were also delighted with the number of people who stopped by for information and advice or just for a chat. At the February market we will be celebrating the end of Farmhouse Breakfast Week.'
