Clean new look for church birthday

Swaffham's Baptist Church in Station Street has been given an eco-friendly facelift in preparation for its 150th anniversary later this month.

Members of the congregation are hoping to see over 100 people joining the celebrations on Sunday, September 21 and are urging local residents as well as people who may feel connected to the parish but do not live in town to attend the service.

Members of the congregation are hoping to see over 100 people joining the celebrations on Sunday, September 21 and are urging local residents as well as people who may feel connected to the parish but do not live in town to attend the service.

Graham Neale, church treasurer, said the building frontage has been cleaned with special environmentally friendly materials by a Swaffham-based company - Ecoclean.

Mr Neale and his wife, Helen, will also be producing a mini puppet show with songs as part of the day's celebrations.

The service will be held on Sunday, September 21 from 10.30am.
