A town sales manager is running the London Marathon for Dementia Revolution after her father and grandmother were diagnosed with the condition.
Clare Cornish will be taking on her first marathon on April 28, and is hoping to raise £5,000. Despite fighting injury during her training, she is aiming to break the five hour mark at the event.
The Watton resident said: 'I am one of the 'one in three' affected by dementia. Sadly, my father is slowly being taken away from us.
'Dementia is the biggest health threat facing society today, and currently there are no effective treatments to slow, prevent or cure it. Dementia Revolution is leading the charge towards a cure. If we do nothing, nothing will change.'
Dementia Revolution is a campaign by the Alzheimer's Society and Alzheimer's Research UK.
