Photographers with a passion for Breckland have been invited to capture the charm of the region on camera for an exhibition next month.

As in previous years, there will be two categories - a Breckland photograph illustrating the uniqueness of the district, and a sports or arts photograph linking with the Olympics and with the upcoming Breckfest.

Organisers say budding artists under 16 can also enter with lively pictures.

The competition which is supported by Breckland Council and the Breckland Partnership is free to enter and anyone can get entry forms from their local community point.

The deadline for entries is August 29. Photographs should be printed on A4 paper. The best three in each category will go forward to the final which will be judged during the week beginning September 15. An exhibition of all the winning pictures will tour the five towns in September/October.
