A forest school that was vandalised for a third time earlier this year should now be safe, after a commercial landscaping company came to the rescue.
The CGM Group, based in Downham Market, removed some low-hanging conifer branches at Swaffham Infant and Nursery School to improve visibility, and then planted a defensive hedge around the school boundary.
Cara Butters, a higher-level teaching assistant and forest school leader, said: "We are so grateful to CGM Group for coming to the school and donating their time on a Saturday morning. They worked hard to remove the branches and then planted the hedge plants. I really hope their actions stop the forest school being vandalised in the future."
Marcus Glover, head of operations (grounds) at CGM group, which provides grounds maintenance for many schools in the East of England, said: "Outside learning is important for children, and I hope the children have a lot of fun and enjoy their forest school."
