PUPILS from Caston Primary Svhool turned into pilgrims for the day on a trip to Walsingham.
The children were given the chance to explore the ruins and make their own pilgrim badges during the visit.
As well as being given a talk about what a Christian pilgrim might carry, they also had a walk around the Abbey grounds and parts of the monastery which have survived.
The shrine was created in 1061, when a woman saw a vision of the house Jesus grew up in, which she then built.
Pupil Bethany said: 'In the afternoon we went inside the chapel. It was amazing!
'Lastly, we went upstairs to the silent chapel, it was magnificent. The view from the balcony was full of gold and wonder.
