HE was watched by millions as one half of the act Floral Highnotes on Britain's Got Talent, and this weekend florist Ian Lloyd visited Watton to judge a garden competition.
Mr Lloyd, who along with Helena Leonard reached the 2009 semi-finals of the TV talent show with their act that combined flower arranging and music, said he was amazed by the high standard of entries in the annual garden competition at the retirement development Redhill Park.
He said: 'The gardens were really fantastic. It was wonderful to see the diversity of what the residents had done with their spaces. It is great to see everyone taking so much pride in their gardens.
'Everybody who entered was a winner because the standard of gardens was fantastic.'
Mr Lloyd spent Saturday judging the competition with Watton mayor Roy Ivory, and the winners were announced on Sunday.
Maurice and Marjorie Burton, 80 and 78, won best in bloom while Ian and Winifred Allen, 80 and 77, were given the best wildlife garden prize.
