Homeowners are cutting thousands of pounds off their property prices to secure a sale in Norfolk, a report has found.

In the Norwich area, sellers reduced asking prices by an average of £10,941 - equivalent to 3.37pc - over the past year, according to new data from fast homebuyers and auctioneers Property Solvers.

Some of the steepest reductions were recorded in Wells-Next-The-Sea (NR23), where 19 sellers knocked off an average of £20,000 (3.7pc) from original asking prices in the 12 months to September 2026.

The figures are based on 4,253 property transactions tracked between September 2025 and September 2026 using Property Solvers’ asking vs sold price difference tool.

The tool compares initial listing prices on major property portals with final sold prices recorded by HM Land Registry, reflecting the entire sales process from listing and negotiations through to completion.

Other areas in Norfolk also saw significant discounts.

In Walsingham (NR22), sellers accepted an average reduction of £18,250 (7.09pc), while in Sheringham (NR26), the average cut was £14,265 (3.98pc).
