Shoppers have been warned not to eat a product sold in a major supermarket.
A batch of Waitrose Essential Pitted Black Olives has been found to contain Listeria monocytogenes, which can cause flu-like symptoms and, in rare cases, complications such as meningitis.
The supermarket is recalling the 120g packs with use-by dates of September 13, 2026, September 18, 2026, and September 27, 2026.
People who have bought the affected product should not consume it and can return it to their nearest Waitrose store for a full refund.
A spokesman for Norfolk Trading Standards: "Symptoms caused by Listeria monocytogenes can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea.
"However, in rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications, such as meningitis.
"Some people are more vulnerable to Listeria infections, including those over 65 years of age, pregnant women and their unborn babies, babies less than one month old and people with weakened immune systems."
There are five Waitrose stores in Norfolk in Swaffham, Wymondham, Norwich, North Walsham and Fakenham.
