A lively dog is in need of a loving new family who shares his zest for life.
Ajax, a two-year-old Dobermann and Belgian Shepherd cross, is a friendly boy looking for an active family with an interest in training that can help him learn some new skills and reach his full potential.
He is currently staying at Dogs Trust's shelter in Snetterton.
While he enjoys meeting new people, his excitement sometimes gets the better of him.
A spokeswoman for the shelter said: "He loves meeting new people, so much so he can forget his manners and jump up and would benefit from learning some alternative ways to channel his excitement.
"He has been able to walk with other dogs, but is still building his interaction skills so would be best suited as the only pet in the home and would benefit from doggy friends to walk with outside of the home to build his socialisation skills.
"Ajax could join a home with children aged 16 and older that are confident around bouncy dogs."
He would like his own secure garden to provide an area to play with his new family as he loves playing with toys.
Ajax will need someone at home with him most of the time initially to help him settle in.
As he gets used to his new home, time left alone can be gradually increased.
Ajax is described as a "delightful boy" who loves human company and walks, especially if there are new scents to explore.
He is strong on the lead and will need further training to walk calmly.
Ajax does have a medical condition that is currently well managed and full details will be provided to potential adopters.
