The A1075 Thetford Road in Watton will be temporarily closed in August.
The closure is due to remedial work on a section of recently applied surface dressing, Norfolk County Council has announced.
The work will take place between B1108 Watton Road and Jessup Road.
The road will be closed to through traffic on August 9, 16 and 23 from 5pm to 12am, with access to properties maintained at all times.
A fully signed diversion route will be in place while the road is closed.
The work is weather dependent and will be carried out by the council’s infrastructure department and their contractor Kier Highway Services.
The council said the work is part of a larger effort to reseal 352 miles of Norfolk’s roads this year to extend their lifespan.
The new seal, consisting of a thin layer of bitumen and chippings, helps prevent water penetration and stops potholes from forming.
Drivers are urged to travel slowly over the new surface until it is settled in.
