Pubs across Norfolk have been permitted to stay open until 5am for England's crunch match against Mexico on Monday morning.
Previous legislation had allowed pubs to stay open until 2am to comply with the later kick-offs at the World Cup.
However, that extension had not accounted for the latest possible kick-off time of 1am, which England fans hoping to watch the round of 16 match against Mexico must now endure.
Prime minister Kier Starmer has now announced that pubs will be able to stay open until 5am for the match.
The blanket extension means individual pubs do not need to apply for extended hours.
Bosses at Greene King, which has 2,600 pubs, restaurants and hotels across the UK, including The Woolpack Inn and The Compleat Angler in Norwich, said more than 600 pubs across England would be staying open late to show the match.
Andrew Gallagher, brand and marketing director at Greene King, added: “We’re delighted to have been granted permission to stay open late as England progress through the tournament."
