A village in Norfolk has welcomed its first cake shed after a woman decided to expand her baking business.

Missy's Cakes and Bakes has been run by mum of two, Kerry-Mae Sayers, for the past five years from her home in Necton.

Mrs Sayers makes birthday cakes, cookies, brownies and all sorts of sweet treats for her customers.

Last year, she set up a website to further showcase her bakes before deciding to launch her new cake shed on March 13.

"Our first day was amazing,” she said. “I can't believe how many people came to my cake shed, it was overwhelming.

"I worked so hard planning the cake shed and there was so much to sort out.

"I sold so many cakes. It was fantastic because we even sold out by 1pm on Saturday and the support and feedback from customers was so lovely."

The cake shed will be open most Fridays and Saturdays and everything is freshly made the day before.

However, the next opening will be on March 31 and April 1 for Easter.
