There has been lots of talk about petrol this week as the conflict in the Middle East sparked fears about price hikes back home.
Edmund King, president of the AA, said petrol priceswill "inevitably increase" in the UK, possibly reaching the prices seen at the beginning of the year.
At the start of 2026, the cost of a litre averaged 135.7p - but, last month, it dipped as low as 131.9p.
This week, filling stations across Norfolk have been temporarily closing as people stockpile fuel.
Drivers in Dereham called the queues at local forecourts "mental" while Steffan Aquarone, North Norfolk MP, raised concerns about the impact the hike would have on his constituents.
"Petrol price hikes will hit drivers in my constituency hard when they can least afford it and will impact students driving to classes, people travelling to healthcare appointments and those who rely on their cars to commute to work," he said.
