A Norfolk youngster with a key eye for numbers has conquered a quiz that has even been leaving some adults bamboozled.
Year Three Leo, a pupil at OneSchool Global in Swaffham, recently saw off competition from 450 others to win a national maths competition.
The challenge involved youngsters being given 20 teasers of varying levels of difficulty, requiring pupils to master a range of mathematical methods.
These included fractions, equations and mental arithmetic, with pupils from all 27 of the organisation's UK schools.
And eight-year-old Leo came away with the best results in the country, scoring 19/20 in the quiz and recording a record time.
Paul Rapley, principal at Swaffham's OneSchool Global - a chain of independent faith schools - said: "All of us would like to say a huge well done to Leo for his incredible achievements in this national maths challenge."
Leo was also one of just two pupils nationwide to answer one particular question - a tricky number puzzle that required him to find numerical values of shapes.
His school said his success was a testament to his natural talent.
