An independent craft shop in a Norfolk town can now stock products from even more local makers after relocating to a larger premises. 

Sue Buckland opened Hare and the Bear at 14 Plowright Place in Swaffham in February 2023 and it has proved very popular.

Following the success of its first six months, the shop has just relocated to a new home a stone's throw away at 4 Plowright Place.

It sells products from more than 30 local makers, including wooden house scenes that Ms Buckland has created.

While workshops were already held in its original premises, there will be more available in the new spacious shop. 

Ms Buckland said: "There are new products available to buy, including items made by Swaffham Men's Shed, tables painted by a local wildlife artist, handmade soaps, gorgeous scented waxmelts, hand-sewn textiles, yarn gifts and wooden hares.

"We can offer more half-day workshops and have space for up to six people to attend now."

The workshops range from little wooden house scene-making to furniture painting techniques. 

Hare and the Bear is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
