Drivers are facing heavy congestion across the county as people begin to travel for the bank holiday weekend.

Major roads, including the A47, A11 and A140 are affected and the traffic is expected to build into the evening.

The RAC predicts 19.2 million leisure car trips will be made between Friday (May 26) and Monday, with the worst of the traffic expected tonight.

Here are the traffic hotspots to watch out for.

There is a lot of congestion currently between Norwich and Long Stratton.

Expect long delays and slow-moving traffic.

Roadworks taking place on the road are exacerbating issues for people travelling this evening.

In Diss, heavy traffic has been reported on the A140 and surrounding roads.

Between Norwich and heading east to Acle, traffic is beginning to build.

There is a bottleneck at Brundall which is causing problems for drivers.

To the west, the road is relatively clear although there is a lot of traffic in the King's Lynn area.

Heading towards Wroxham and Hoveton, drivers are facing heavier congestion than normal on Norwich Road.

On the Suffolk border between Loddon and Beccles, the A143 is showing heavy congestion, according to the AA traffic map.

It is likely drivers will face slower journey times in this area.
