Swaffham's war memorial is to bear a further inscription commemorating East Anglian heroes fallen since 1945 to the present day.Councillors have joined the Royal Naval Association and the Royal British Legion to add further wording to the memorial which will read: “In memory of the fallen of East Anglia 1945 - to present day - lest we forget.
Swaffham's war memorial is to bear a further inscription commemorating East Anglian heroes fallen since 1945 to the present day.
Councillors have joined the Royal Naval Association and the Royal British Legion to add further wording to the memorial which will read: “In memory of the fallen of East Anglia 1945 - to present day - lest we forget.”
The inscription will be unveiled at the Annual Veterans Day on Sunday, June 29.
