A special plaque commemorating victims of all conflicts, past, present and future will be unveiled in Swaffham later this summer.
Members of the British Legion, Royal Naval Association, Desert Rats and the Veteran's Association are expected to take part at the ceremony held on Sunday, June 29.
The plaque - a rectangular pink granite stone - will be affixed to the upright part at the bottom of the current war memorial in Swaffham's market square.
It will read: “In memory of the fallen of East Anglia, 1945 - to present day. Lest we forget.”
Town councillor David Harman, who is organising the event which takes place after Veterans' Day on June 27, said there will be a march past starting at White Cross Road up to the memorial.
He also said he is expecting a large turnout, with guests from all over the region and even further afield.
A dedication service will be held by John Smith, rector of St Peter and St Paul parish church at 11.30.
