A bid to build a new industrial estate on land off the A47 looks set to be blocked due to a lack of evidence it would be protected against flooding.
The applicant, GW Padley Property, is hoping to construct a range of buildings to be used for light industrial, storage or trade counter uses on agricultural land off the major road in Swaffham.
It is also seeking outline planning permission for "flexible employment development" for one section of the land.

While the application has received few objections and has been supported by the local parish council, it has run into problems due to not providing enough information to show it has an appropriate drainage strategy for the site.
According to Breckland Council's flood and water management expert, the flood risk assessment and drainage strategy do not meet "standards of best practice" and that the information provided contains "conflicting" reports.
It led planning officers to recommend the application is refused on this basis.
The final decision will be made at a Breckland Council planning meeting on January 23.
