West Acre players dominated when their club hosted the English Billiards.org K.O tournament.
The event was won by James Eyre while Ryan Jackson was runner-up and Jack Easter’s 22 was the highest break.
n A round-robin billiards championship was played as part of the Active Roadshow-Narborough Billiards KO day.
Narborough’s Mark Stills won the event while Issac Rawson (also Narborough) was runner-up.
Jordan Eyre (West Bilney) and Mark Stills had the day’s best scores for newcomers to the sport.
Norfolk County Council sponsored the event, which saw the Narborough Social Club’s snooker table being used all day with a large queue at times waiting for the free coaching which was also on offer.
n Narbeck Boys Billiards League entered three sides into this years Eastern Counties Billiards League, the teams being composed of players, parents and officials from the league.
Narbeck A won Division Two to gain promotion to Division One, while in Division Three Narbeck B were victorous, with Mat Lyons and Chris Cator both being unbeaten during the competition and Chris recording the division’s highest break with a fine 52.
Special mention must go to Narbeck C, who though failing to win a game will have gained great experience from the championship and played all their match’s in a competitive, sporting manner.
All three players – Ryan Jackson, Callum Lawlor and James Eyre – had their chances to gain victories against their adult opponents and will next season go into this competition in a more confident manner.
