Nick Aston had a day to remember for Vauxhall Mallards B as he took nine wickets for 44 to blast his team to a 94 run Division One win over Cringleford Lodge.
The hosts were all out for 88 after Mallards made 182 for eight.
Norwich Bystanders leap-frogged Sprowston B into second place behind divisional leaders Rollesby by beating their rivals by ten runs. Bystanders were all out for 165, but Sprowston’s chase ended on 155.
Rollesby beat Drayton by 36 runs to maintain their march at the top, despite being all out for 142.
Hales & Loddon A continued their Division Two revival with a two-wicket win at Belton. Milton Lindsay top-scored with 42 including eight boundaries, Mark Stewart hit 36 and Stuart Nunn an unbeaten 21 as Hales reached their 165 target in the 41st over. Nunn and David Debenham had earlier shared six wickets as Belton were dismissed for 164, Sajid Ali top-scoring with 36 for the hosts in the Southtown Common encounter.
Wayne Catchpole blasted 55 off 44 balls as Happisburgh knocked off their modest victory target after dismissing Overstrand for 89.
Costessey also chased down a target after restricting Aylsham St Giles to 177 for eight (Malcolm Talbot 67) as Steve Horner (62no) and Alex Taylor (60no) steered them over the line to a six wickets victory.
With leaders St Andrews out of action, Eaton moved above Saham Toney A into second place in Division Three with a 28-run win at Bungay.
The best batting performance of the week was Rob Wheldon’s unbeaten 144 for Norwich Bystanders A in their 100-run Division Four win over Winterton, who slip from second to third as a result. Blundeston moved up to second, behind the inactive Hardingham A, after thrashing Cringleford Lodge A by 102 runs.
There was a set-back for Division Five leaders Great Melton C at Felthorpe, though they remain top.
Two schoolboys made a notable mark in Division Seven with 13-year-old Robert Ellis taking four wickets for four runs in five overs as Bradenham B dismissed Swanton Morley A for 33 while 14-year-old Josh Larner took five for 25 for Acle B against Hingham.
The division also saw Nick Powell slam 112 for Hethersett as they beat Diss B.
