West Norfolk man, 68, in court on child rape charges

A west Norfolk man has appeared in court charged with a string of sexual offences relating to children, including rape.
Roy Cato, of Church Close, Pentney, faced two rape charges, six allegations of sexual assault, two of them on a boy, and one charge of engaging in sexual activity with a boy when he appeared at King’s Lynn Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday).
The case was adjourned and the 68-year-old, who spoke only to confirm his name and address, is due to appear at Norwich Crown Court on August 29.
Each of the charges date from between 1999 and 2009.
