Swaffham surgery staff take part in skydive for charity

Three staff members from a surgery in Swaffham have raised more than a thousand pounds for a domestic abuse charity by taking part in a tandem skydive.

The challenge was hosted by the charity Leeway and took place at Beccles Airfield on Sunday, September 24.

Staff members from Swaffham Campingland Surgery, Leanne Bealey, Sarah Gathercole and Caroline Solomon, jumped from 13,000ft and raised a total of £1,178.

They were inspired to take part after receiving training about domestic abuse delivered by the charity.

Mandy Proctor, chief executive of Leeway, said: “It is brilliant to hear that our training has inspired these wonderful ladies to take part in our Skydive and I would like to thank them for raising an incredible amount of money for Leeway.

“The funds we raise from events, such as the Skydive, enable us to continue to offer high-quality services to those experiencing domestic abuse.”
