Rytis Zukauskas, 22, died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn on Sunday, February 19, the coroner’s court in Norwich heard today.

Deputy Norfolk coroner Jacqueline Lake said Mr Zukauskas had been driving on the B1108 at Bodney in the direction of Watton.

She said: “While negotiating a left-hand bend he lost control of his vehicle, which left the road and impacted with a tree.

“He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he subsquently died from his injuries.”

A post mortem examination found the cause of death to be head injuries and internal bleeding due to cardiac arrest, due to trauma from a road traffic collision.

The inquest has been adjourned until a later date, which is yet to be fixed.

Following the crash, Norfolk Constabulary appealed for any witnesses, or anyone who had seen the black Audi A4 prior to the crash.

PC Richard Peck, of the Serious Collision Investigation Team, can be contacted on the non-emergency number 101.
