Would you like to be in charge of a school?

A position has opened up as the headteacher of Swaffham C.E. Junior Academy.

An advertisement for the job said the school was seeking someone with a “passion to focus relentlessly on what’s best for pupils”, and the vision to build relationships whilst establishing Swaffham as “a beacon of distinctiveness and excellence.”

The academy, which was formerly Swaffham Junior School, hopes to achieve a good status in its first Ofsted inspection as an academy

The school’s current headteacher is Tracey McCarthy, and it is part of the Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust.

Applications close on February 11 and interviews are scheduled to take place later in the month, with the applicant to take up the post on September 1.
