An ambulance was involved in a crash near Narborough while on the way to a 999 call.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said the incident on the A47 happened shortly before 7.30am on Friday June 23.

He said the three crew members that had been on board the ambulance were treated at the scene for minor injuries and taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn as a precaution.

He added: “The ambulance was en route to a 999 call, a chest pain-related call, and we were able to despatch a replacement ambulance shortly afterwards to attend to the patient.”

He said he believed there was “minimal impact” to the patient who the original ambulance had been called out to.

Twitter user @1616Six’s dashcam captured footage of the overturned ambulance following the crash.
