A man has been arrested in connection with the rape of a woman near a country church.
Police were called to Church Road in Watton on Sunday (September 17) at 9.35pm following reports of a rape near St Mary's Church.
Officers attended the scene and put a cordon in place which was later lifted at 2.40pm on Monday.
A man aged in his 20s was arrested in connection with the incident a short while later.
He was taken to Wymondham Police Station for questioning and was later released on bail until November 25.
Enquiries are still ongoing.
